VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
 

Downtown Springfield, Inc. Open Streets
SATURDAY, MAY 14, 2022
10:00 AM - 2 PM
Location: Old State Capitol Plaza

The Springfield Bicycle Club will be sharing a booth with the Educational Center for the Visually Impaired at this event from 10:00 AM - 2 PM around the Old State Capitol. A few volunteers are needed to help staff the booth, answer questions and pass out general biking education brochures.

Sangamon Cycling Series Event #1

Location: Chatham Community Park

SBAC Second Annual Bike Count
MAY, 2022
Location: Various Sites around Springfield
 

The Springfield Bicycle Advisory Council is conducting the 2nd Annual Springfield Bicycle Count during National Bike Month in May and needs your help. There are 32 sites this year with up to 3 volunteer times each:

  • 4-6pm Tues/Wed/Thurs
  • 7-9am Tues/Wed/Thurs (select sites only)
  • 9-11am Sat/Sun (select sites only)

SBAC - Owen Marsh Walk + Roll to School Day
FRIDAY, MAY 13, 2022

8:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Location: Owen Marsh School, 1100 Avon Drive (between Old Jacksonville and Monroe)
 

Volunteers are needed for the Owen Marsh Walk + Roll to School Day Friday, May 13 to help with an obstacle course (no bikes), bike valet parking, snacks, raffle box and handing out/applying tattoos and stickers.
