What's Happening in the Springfield Bicycle Club
June 2022
Board Business
 
There have been a couple of changes to the SBC Board, as follows:
 
After many years serving on the board, David McDivitt is stepping down from his role as Mileage Director. Please note that the Spinner Awards program, which recognizes various levels of mileage, is inactive at this time, but David will continue to manage mileage information for those who are using the club's mileage portal. 
 
Nathan Schorfheide has graciously accepted the role of Social Director. 
 
Big thanks to both of these individuals for their contributions to making the Springfield Bicycle Club a great organization!

Sangamon Cycling Series Event #4
Call for Volunteers
 
WHEN: Saturday, August 20

TIME: 6:45 AM to 7:30 AM - Check-in
Group start at 8:00 AM

WHERE: Stuart Park
 
WHAT'S INVOLVED FOR VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers may assist with check-in and help at the rest stop. Ride leaders are also needed for various distances and speeds (B, C, Slow C).

Finding the Right Ride
Joining a group ride for the first time can be intimidating. If you have questions about a ride and are wondering if it's a good fit for you, please reach out to the ride leader listed on the ride description.
 
Ride Leaders needed!
Do you have an idea for ride and would be willing to serve as a ride leader? There's always a need for ride leaders, whether you want to lead a ride every week or just a one-time event.  Please contact Scott Sievers or Troy Gilmore to indicate interest.
