What's Happening in the Springfield Bicycle Club
October 2022
The Quick Release is Back!

Many of you will remember the Quick Release -- the SBC's newsletter that was mailed out each month to all members. The newsletter served as the club's primary communication means for years. In our household, the Quick Release took up permanent residence on the kitchen counter for quick reference to the ride schedule.

The December 2019 issue of the Quick Release was the last issue produced. Rising costs of publishing and distributing a printed newsletter, the increased use of social media and time-crunched volunteers led to the decision to put the newsletter on hiatus and communicate with an e-newsletter. This approach has worked well, but I've missed the newsletter format and think that some of our club members would echo that sentiment.

So starting with October 2022, the Quick Release will again be the primary means of communicating news to SBC members. We'll still use email to keep you up-to-date, but the newsletter will be the repository for ride reports, membership updates, ride schedules and other content. To keep costs down, the newsletter will be available for viewing online in PDF format. If you'd prefer to print out the newsletter, it's in a print-friendly format.
