Get Ready to Ride with the Capital City Connection

Capital City Connection (CaCiCo)

We are organizing a new program this year, which will focus on engaging with riders who are unfamiliar with group rides. Capitol City Connection will kick off in late April or early May, and have several events throughout the year to help riders find groups that match their fitness and skill levels, as well as educate and empower these riders to engage in more activities.

As part of this program, we will be organizing weekly rides at every level (D, slow C, C, B, A) for CaCiCo participants to stay engaged with the social aspect of cycling and to keep active.

Whether you're a rider who just hasn't found a group that matches your pace, someone who has always been a solo rider or wasn't aware of group riding, or someone who just wants to get into cycling more in general, we're here to help make that connection for you. The program will be open to both SBC members and the general public. We look forward to helping grow and engage our community with this new program, and hope you can join us!

Interested in Being a Team Leader?

If you have interest in acting as a team leader for one of these groups this year, please reach out to Casey Primm for more information!

CaCiCo team leaders will receive entry into Sangamon Cycling Series and Capitol City Century events where they act as a ride leader for their CaCiCo group. Other incentives are in the works.

How Do I sign Up? Is there a cost?
There is no cost to participate in the CaCiCo, but we will be opening a registration site in the coming weeks to get a head count.
