Scoop du Jour Ice Cream & Coffee Shop
14-16 mph, 25+- miles. Start your week with a low-key ride from Scoop du Jour ice cream/coffee in Chatham. We‘ll head south to Auburn and then loop back via Loami. Leaders will rotate based upon availability, but the route will remain essentially the same. We may add mileage as the season progresses. Enjoy tasty treats after the ride!

Sunday‘s ride is a more relaxed pace, 40-50 miles at a steady pace with full rotation. Derek will have a route prepared for many of these rides.

30+ miles on some of the hills north of Springfield. The group will head out of town with the Team Mack group. Ride Leaders are Sean Walker and Nick Fogleman.
Meet at 5:45pm at Rochester Park for around 20 miles!
Slow C NO DROP ride - Meet in the parking lot near Scheels and ride about 23 miles south on the InterUrban Trail through Chatham to the end of Main Street, then ride a loop through the country and back. See the Club "Slow C" collection in the Ride with GPS app for route information. Let‘s gather afterward in La Fiesta for fun, food & beverages!

Join Ride Leader Libby Shawgo for a casual cruise on the Sangamon Valley Trail or varied route and distance based on group consensus. Pace will be 10-12 miles per hour and will cover about 12 miles minimum. This is a great ride for novice cyclists.
New City - parking lot at intersection of New City Blacktop and Pawnee New City Road
Test your time trial legs at this longstanding ride, held every other Wednesday in season. 10.85-mile out and back course. Riders are started in 15-second intervals.

Dana-Thomas House (Front Door)
Ride your own bicycle following a guide on a casual and easy paced bicycle tour of historic sites in the capital city. This neighborhood-style ride will go past historic sites including the Dana-Thomas House, First Black Fires House, Lincoln Home, Old State Capitol, and others. Information will be provided at stops along the route. The five-mile round trip ride will take about 1 ½ hours. Helmets are required and a water bottle is recommended. Meet at the 4th Street Dana-Thomas House Parking Lot.
Please note that in the case of inclement weather (including excessive heat warnings), the tour will be cancelled for guest safety.
Tours will be guided by history education interpreters from the IDNR Office of Land Management, with each tour ranging in duration from one to two hours. Reservations, which will be required, can be made here or through the IDNR website. The capacity of all experiences will be limited and follow health and safety guidelines. All tours are free, and donations in support of local historic sites will be welcomed.

The Sangamon Gravel series will consist of monthly rides May-July, featuring 20/40/60 mile routes with convenience stops at regular intervals. It‘s a free event, but register at the link below to be eligible for prizes and a segment-based points competition.
